The Logistics Operations Supervisor oversees:
Daily logistics, warehouse, fleet, and dispatch operations. Ensure shipments are received, processed, and delivered safely, efficiently, and on time in accordance with company standards.
Operations and dispatch teams: coordinates with vendors and the OCASA network team, ensures inventory accuracy, effective warehouse organization, and smooth end-to-end execution.
Fleet and driver operations: Dispatch planning, route efficiency, schedules, arrival and out times, lunch compliance, and driver performance, while maintaining accurate fleet maintenance records and regulatory compliance.
Provides clear direction, delegates responsibilities, and steps in when necessary. The Supervisor ensures operational continuity, accountability, and alignment with departmental and organizational objectives.
Job Resposabilites
Oversee daily logistics, warehouse, fleet, and dispatch operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory, and driver activities.
Ensure that all shipments are completed with accuracy, punctuality, and in full compliance with client specifications, relevant safety regulations, TSA guidelines, and internal standard operating procedures (SOP’s).
Strategically plan, oversee, and enhance pickup, delivery, and transportation routes to ensure optimal efficiency while proactively addressing delays or operational disruptions as they arise.
Manage company-owned and contracted vehicles by maintaining accurate maintenance, inspection, repair, and service records to ensure consistent availability and minimize operational downtime.
Oversee dispatchers and drivers to ensure efficient scheduling, communication, performance tracking, and delivery priority compliance.
Monitor and document driver timekeeping activities, including start times, arrivals, meal periods, and departure times, to ensure adherence to labor regulations and company policies.
Keep inventory accurate in real time and quickly address any discrepancies.
Direct, train, coach, and assess staff; set expectations, mentor, and take corrective action as needed to maintain a high-performance culture.
Delegate operations efficiently and step in as needed to maintain workflow.
Work collaboratively with internal departments, carriers, vendors, and stakeholders to address supply chain challenges and ensure smooth operational processes.
Spot risks, non-compliance, and gaps; take action to maintain service quality and meet client needs.
Report on operations, metrics, trends, and improvements to leadership.
Work with the Branch Manager to improve service KPIs and processes.
Handle extra tasks as required to keep daily operations running smoothly.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
3+ years of experience in logistics or warehouse operations
Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills
Available for flexible hours, nights, and weekends as required
Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-stress environments
Recognize shipment deadlines’ importance
Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in documentation and adherence to protocols
Ability to identify and address issues in the shipment process
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; bilingual a plus
Work Setting
Work is performed in an office environment.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to sit and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and keyboard.
The role may require occasional work outside of standard business hours to accommodate client needs or urgent issues.
